I survived the Langtang Gosaikunda trek

Nepal calling. Ever since the plans of doing the Annapurna circuit failed, the mind was craving for Nepal, to be back in the mountains.

I sensed an opportunity for a 2 weeks getaway and the only trek that I could do in that time turned out to be the Langtang Gosaikunda trek. Didn’t have enough time to research or read up on people’s blogs.

Was probably too ambitious in my planning, some things went wrong, some things went right.

In terms of photography, I can’t compare it with the Annapurna Base Camp trek. The views are spectacular though, when the conditions are right. The trek too is challenging but also interesting at the same time. If I had the time, I would do it all over again in the autumn/winter months.

I am sure there will be another opportunity…

Right now, its time to reflect on the trek, sort out the photos and write a day-by-day account, so that someone, somewhere in this creation will read and hopefully benefit from my experience.

2013 – The year that went by…

Its been a while since I wrote in my blog. 2013 came and went in a flash. Lots of adventures and misadventures. Something worth writing, something to be forgotten.

Went to the Kumbh mela to liberate my soul. Then came the adventures of Bangkok, Issan, Manila, Saigon and Jakarta. From cityscapes to rural life. From peace to absolute chaos. Almost ruined everything…

Have been craving for some stillness…
