Londonscapes

Now, I made that word up. I am hardly a city person. I would rather live on top of a mountain, or next to the ocean, and engulf myself in the sounds of nature; than bear with the cacophony of city life.

But when I had the (mis)fortune of being in London for couple of weeks, and since the light was particularly suited for some photographic indulgence, I decided to give cityscapes a shot. London underground is a maze, and I enjoyed getting lost in it. Though I was a bit apprehensive of being stopped by the “authorities” for taking photographs inside train stations. Thank God, nature doesn’t prohibit me from taking photographs of the stars and the rivers and lakes and beaches, and hopefully neither will the fishes.

Bangkok – city of angels OR sin city ?

Did you know that the official name of Bangkok is Krung Thep, which roughly translates to ‘City of Angels’ ? I would hardly have thought so, given its reputation of being the ‘sin’ capital of Asia…

Now, why a post on Bangkok ?

Firstly, I love the Suvarnabhumi airport. It’s curves… Next, the language. I simply love the Thai language. So musical. And then, the food. May Kaidee’s vegetarian restaurant is what draws me to Bangkok.

I decided to combine food, shopping and some cityscapes. And the natural destination turned out to be Bangkok.

Getting lost in Chatuchak, hogging on May Kaidee’s food as a glutton and some photography – makes me want to go to Bangkok all over again…
